The Chilean government passed on Monday the so-called “Dicom Law,” a major reform to Chile’s Directory of Credit Information (Dicom), a debt disclosure system that has been in place since 1976.The new law will greatly expand confidentiality by limiting the disclosure of personal credit history contained in the Dicom to purely financial circumstances.

In this age of globalization and the complexity and intertwinement of international public and private law, it plays an increasing important role in international harmonization and unification of laws, thereby leading to more international cooperation and a better world order
