Visiting information

The Peace Palace Library is open 5 days a week: on Monday from 1 pm till 5 pm, and on other workdays from 10 am till 5 pm. The library is closed during weekends.

If you wish to visit the Library, you need to tell this to our security at the gate of the Palace. Be sure to bring a valid ID (passport, driving licence). You will have to show your ID at the main gate, where you will be given a visitor’s day pass. Without a valid ID you can’t visit the library.

Getting there

Due to ongoing work on the public transport network of The Hague, tram 10 will be discontinued from the 6th of January onwards. Its route will be taken over by tram 17 which will run a slightly different route.

Tram stop The Hague Central Station/Rijnstraat will be inoperable. For access to tram 17, use tram stop CS/Schedeldoekshaven which is within walking distance from The Hague Central Station.
