The holidays are over, and a new academic year has begun. We are very much looking forward to welcoming all students and practitioners of international law to our library. In order to introduce new users to our collection, we will once again offer a research course, which is free of charge. Every second Monday of the month from 12.00 to 13.00, the Peace Palace Library offers a brief course on effective searching of literature, jurisprudence and legislation. We will explain how to use the Library’s catalogue, its major databases, and other resources. At the end of the course, a brief tour of the library is provided. All members of the Library are welcome to participate. New members are particularly encouraged to do so. Participation is free of charge. If you are interested in participating, please register by email at: o.spijkers@ppl.nl, indicating the date you wish to attend the course. Please, indicate whether you are a student, PhD-researcher, legal professional, etc., and if you have any particular research interests. Participants are recommended to have a look at the slides on the website (www.ppl.nl) before attending the course. You can find the slides by going to the Library’s homepage, and then click on the Tab ‘Instruction’. For more information about the course, please ask one of our colleagues at the main desk of the Library.

The first three courses take place on 12 September, 10 October and 14 November between 12.00 and 13.00.
