The University of Pennsylvania Press has kindly donated its latest publication in the Series ”Pennsylvania Studies in Human Rights” to the Peace Palace Library.

“This side of silence : human rights, torture, and the recognition of cruelty”  by Tobias Kelly is an excellent account of various legal and moral aspects of “torture’, seen in a wide international perspective.

The Library, holding one of the greatest international law collections in the world, has a complete set of the ”Pennsylvania Studies in Human Rights”. It is an important series and indispensable for the study of international human rights and related subjects.
