Organiser Jeremy Gilley has announced the partial line-up for this year’s Peace One Day concert on 21 September in the garden of the Peace Palace in The Hague. The eighth edition of the Peace One Day concert, which will be live streamed to the world on YouTube, is part of a series of special concerts in the Peace Palace garden from 14 to 21 September to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Peace Palace. The Peace One Day concert will be held on 21 September, which marks the U.N. International Day of Peace. Last year’s Peace One Day concert in London’s Wembley Arena featured performances by Sir Elton John and James Morrison.
The line-up for the Peace One Day concert so far includes performances by the Hague rock band Kane, the British pop band The Feeling, Spanish pop idol Miguel Bosé, Brazilian percussionist and singer-songwriter Carlinhos Brown and X-Factor UK finalist Jahméne Douglas. Tickets for the high-profile music-driven celebration start at € 100. There will be room in the garden for only 2,500 people. English actor and documentary maker Jeremy Gilley and English actor Jude Law will be the hosts of the garden concert. According to Gilley, the concerts are still a ‘work in progress’ with additional names of musicians, actors and peace activists being added as they are confirmed. The Peace Palace and the Municipality of The Hague are in talks to have the Peace One Day concert shown simultaneously on large screens on the Grote Markt.
