On Wednesday the 21st of June at 1:30pm, the Pro Concordia Labor Flag will be raised at the Visitor’s Centre of the Peace Palace. The Carnegie Foundation and the Peace Palace Library will raise the flag to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the death of Bertha von Suttner (1843-1914), a most ardent peace activist who inspired Alfred Nobel to create his Peace Prize, and who labored to develop the international legal order.
The Bertha von Suttner Master Class, will be held at the Castello di Brazzà in Moruzzo, Italy from June 28-29. The Castello is the former home of Cora di Brazzà who designed the flag. The flag will fly in front of the Visitor’s Center until July 1.
The Carnegie Foundation and the Peace Palace Library invites you to witness the Peace Flag Raising ceremony. To attend this event registration is required. Please register by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
