Now on display: Photo Exhibit '70 Years of the International Law Commission: Drawing a Balance for the Future'.
The International Law Commission starts its seventieth session in New York. For the past seventy years, the Commission has played an indispensable role in the progressive development of international law and its codification. To mark the seventieth anniversary of the Commission, a photo exhibit had earlier been on display at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and recently in Geneva, which features images of the Peace Palace Library Photo Collection. The exhibit is now on display in the Foyer of the Peace Palace Library/Academy Building! It explores the achievements of the Commission and places them in historical context – a history in which the city of The Hague plays a special role.
