  • The Hague International Model United Nations 2018

    The THIMUN conference is a five-day simulation of the United Nations for secondary school students, which takes place at the end of January each year in the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague. THIMUN now attracts over 3,200 students and teachers from around 200 schools located in countries as far apart as Norway, Australia, China and Ecuador. The students themselves originate from more than 100 different countries. The conference will start on January 28, 2018 and end on February 2, 2018.

You can search our collection of almost 2000 unique electronic journals. Go to them directly by clicking the links of your choice below.   • In Memoriam M. Cherif Bassiouni

    A global ‘champion of justice,’ has died last Monday. Benjamin Ferencz, who at 98 is the last surviving prosecutor from the Nuremberg war crimes trials, said that Mr. Bassiouni “was a real contributor to international criminal law and the rule of law to protect human rights.” No less than 334 publications on his name in our Catalogue!

  • Security Council Approves Toughest Resolution yet against DPR Korea

    11 September 2017 – The Security Council unanimously agreed to impose tighter sanctions on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), imposing limits on oil exports, banning the country’s textile imports and access to gas liquids, and more closely inspecting cargo ships going in and out of its ports. “The proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, as well as their means of delivery, constitutes a threat to international peace and security,” the Council said.

  • 2017 Programme The Hague Academy Summer Courses

    The Summer Courses are organized in two periods of 3 weeks each, one focusing on Public International Law and one on Private International Law. Since the very outset in 1923 thousands of students from over 100 nationalities have been able to attend them. Many alumni, having thus had the opportunity to meet “great names” in the field of international Law, have subsequently gone on to become themselves well-known academics, lawyers or diplomats, among other occupations. The courses consist of lectures on general or special topics and are subsequently published in the Collected Courses series, of which there are currently over 380 volumes, ranking among the most important encyclopaedic publications on public and private international law.
