So far, 25 Embassies in The Hague have generously contributed and therefore enriched our National Law Collection. The Slovenian Embassy, through H.E. Ambassador Leon Marc enriched our Library with publications from Slovenia’s foremost international lawyer at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, Professor Leonid Pitamic.

July 5, 2013To expand the Peace Palace Library’s National Law Collection, the Carnegie Foundation for the Centenary of the Peace Palace started the Embassy Book Donation Project in which Embassies in The Hague are requested to donate law books regarding their national laws & legislation. The Embassies of Ecuador and Malta were the first ones willing to participate. Find out more what publications on Ecuadorian and Maltese law are now part of our collection.

January 25, 2013Boutros Boutros-Ghali, professor of International Law and International Relations, Cairo University (1949-1979), and a lecturer in international law and relations in a number of universities in different parts of the world, will mark his 90th birthday. On Friday, January 11, 2013, during a meeting of the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law, its members offered a book to it’s President as a tribute.
